Sunrise Festival
Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2017, the Inuvik Sunrise Festival has continued to grow, year after year, into one of the territory’s premier events. There's something for everyone!
January 6 to 8, 2017
Local food, dance, music and winter activities, including snow carving and dog sledding, are all part of the spectacle at the ice road village. But the real party begins Saturday night – with a giant bonfire, incredible fireworks display and a concert inside the renowned Igloo Church.
Come celebrate with us this January and experience the magic of the first sun during this phenomenal occasion!
The sun will be first seen on January 6, 2017.
